Leronza Rhodium Collection: Two Different Designs Under One Name, Phone by Phone
Most of Leronza’s collections look the same whichever phone they sit on: a Prime engraving on an iPhone reads much like the same engraving on a Galaxy. Rhodium does not. On Apple phones it is a family of matte colour editions, where the body is refinished in a satin colour and only small details are plated. On Samsung phones it is a set of dark, hexagon-textured back panels carrying polished chevrons or a curb chain. Same collection name, two different objects, and two different answers on wireless charging.
This guide puts the whole Rhodium collection on one page: which designs exist on which of the six phones, what is actually changed on each, where wireless charging survives and where it is lost, and what each design costs today. Every price below is pulled live from the shop.
What “Rhodium” means in Leronza’s catalogue
In the shop, Rhodium is a collection name rather than a metal you select. Every ready-made Rhodium product page lists the same three metal choices as the rest of the range: 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, all at the same price. What ties the line together is the look: a dark or matte ground with bright precious-metal accents on top, rather than a back that is plated all over.
How that look is achieved depends on the manufacturer:
Apple: matte colour editions
The iPhone’s own body is refinished in a satin matte colour (anodised on the iPhone 17 Pro and 18 Pro, a satin coating on the iPhone Duo). The camera rings, side buttons and, on the newer models, the logo detail are plated in your chosen metal. Nothing metal is laid across the back.
Found on: iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro & Pro Max, iPhone Duo.
Samsung: textured-panel designs
Samsung’s rear glass is replaced with a new panel embossed with fine interlocking hexagons, offered in five colours. Polished accents are fixed on top: one, two or four chevrons (Nucleus 1.0, 2.0, 3.0) or a heavy curb chain (Nexus Link), with a plated camera surround and a small GoldPrivé nameplate.
Found on: Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
Which Rhodium designs exist on which phone
| Phone | Rhodium designs | What Leronza changes | Wireless charging | Use your own phone? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max | Six matte colours: Nocturne (black), Vermillion (red), Verdant (green), Amethyst (purple), Rose Impériale (pink), Umber (brown) | Matte anodised body; camera rings and side buttons in metal | Not stated on these product pages; ask before ordering if it matters | Not offered on these pages (new phone supplied) |
| iPhone 18 Pro & Pro Max | The same six colours plus Aqua Supreme and Cacao Noir | Matte anodised body; camera rings, side buttons and logo detail plated | Kept: MagSafe and Qi2 | Yes, “Use my own iPhone” option |
| iPhone Duo | The original six colours | Satin matte coating; camera rings and logo detail plated | Kept: MagSafe and Qi2 up to 25W | Not offered on these pages (new phone supplied) |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | Nucleus 1.0, Nucleus 2.0, Nucleus 3.0, Nexus Link | New textured back panel with plated accents; Armor Aluminum frame plated to match | Lost, along with Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay | Yes, “Use my own device” option |
| Galaxy Z Fold8 | Nucleus 1.0, Nucleus 2.0, Nucleus 3.0, Nexus Link | New textured back panel with plated accents; frame and hinge never plated | Lost, along with Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay | Yes |
| Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra | Nucleus 1.0, Nucleus 2.0, Nucleus 3.0, Nexus Link | New textured back panel with plated accents; frame and hinge never plated | Lost, along with Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay | Yes |
Two things stand out. First, the Apple and Samsung halves of the collection make opposite trade-offs: the Apple editions keep the phone’s wireless features because the back is never metal, while every Samsung Rhodium design gives them up because the new back carries metal. Second, on the Samsung side the S26 Ultra is treated differently from the two foldables: its frame is plated to match the accents, while on the Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra the frame and hinge are left exactly as Samsung finished them so the fold works as designed.
The Apple half: matte colour editions
On an iPhone, the Rhodium editions are the most restrained thing Leronza makes. The product pages for the iPhone 18 Pro describe the process as stripping the factory finish, re-anodising the aluminium body in a satin colour, and only then plating and refitting the camera rings, side buttons and logo detail. Because no precious metal covers the back, those pages state that MagSafe and Qi2 keep working. The iPhone Duo editions get their colour from a satin coating rather than anodising, and their pages say the same about charging: MagSafe accessories attach and Qi2 charges at up to 25W. The Duo pages also note that the hinge, both displays and the Touch ID side button are left as Apple built them.
The colour list is the main difference between the three Apple lines. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Duo share the original six: Nocturne, Vermillion Signature, Verdant Supreme, Amethyst Royale, Rose Impériale and Umber Prestige. The iPhone 18 Pro adds two more, Aqua Supreme (a clear blue-green) and Cacao Noir (matte chocolate), which you will not find on the older or folding iPhones. If you are deciding between colours and metals, our guide to pairing each matte colour with a metal works through that choice for the iPhone 18 Pro in detail, so it is not repeated here.
Both iPhone 17 Pro and 18 Pro editions come in either size, Pro (6.3″) or Pro Max (6.9″). Storage runs to 2TB on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. On the iPhone 17 Pro Rhodium pages, 2TB is listed for the Pro Max; the 2TB Pro variant currently shows no price, so treat it as unavailable unless the team confirms otherwise.
The Samsung half: Nucleus and Nexus Link
The four Samsung designs are built the same way on all three phones. A brand-new, unlocked Samsung is bought, its rear glass is removed, and a new back panel with an interlocking-hexagon texture is fitted. The accents are then plated at 5 to 7 microns, along with the camera surround and a small GoldPrivé nameplate. The panel comes in Noir (the black shown in the photographs), Verdant, Royale Blue, Crimson Red or Rose Fuchsia, and the product pages state that every colour and metal is the same price.
What separates the four designs is how much metal sits on that dark ground:
| Design | What is on the back | Character |
|---|---|---|
| Nucleus 1.0 | One broad polished chevron below the cameras. On the S26 Ultra and Z Fold8 Ultra, slim rails with angled line detail also run down both long sides; on the wider Z Fold8 the single chevron runs almost the full width on its own | The most open texture; an outline rather than a feature |
| Nucleus 2.0 | Two chevrons, one above the other, each dipping gently at the centre | The middle ground between one bar and four |
| Nucleus 3.0 | Four stacked chevrons, evenly spaced, with small screw details | The boldest of the three; a ladder of polished metal |
| Nexus Link | A heavy curb-style chain running vertically down the right-hand side, fixed by end caps | Jewellery rather than geometry |
The trade-off is the same on all four, and the product pages are direct about it: a metal-carrying back blocks wireless charging and the NFC signal that Samsung Wallet needs for tap-to-pay. These phones charge over USB-C, and contactless payments go on a card or another device. Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s software updates are unaffected, because the screens, processor, cameras and battery are never opened.
Live prices: every Rhodium design on every phone
Prices below are “from” (smallest storage) to “up to” (largest storage) for a new phone supplied by Leronza, and update automatically when the shop changes. The metal you choose does not change the price.

Samsung Rhodium designs
| Design | Galaxy S26 Ultra | Galaxy Z Fold8 | Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nucleus 1.0 | $ 4,090 to $ 4,690 | $ 4,590 to $ 5,290 | $ 7,430 to $ 7,860 |
| Nucleus 2.0 | $ 4,090 to $ 4,690 | $ 4,590 to $ 5,290 | $ 7,430 to $ 7,860 |
| Nucleus 3.0 | $ 4,090 to $ 4,690 | $ 4,590 to $ 5,290 | $ 7,430 to $ 7,860 |
| Nexus Link | $ 4,090 to $ 4,690 | $ 4,590 to $ 5,290 | $ 7,430 to $ 7,860 |
On the Samsung side, the phone you choose is the bigger price decision. Read down a column to compare the four designs on one phone; read across a row to see how much the phone underneath changes the price of the same design.
Worked example: one chain, three Samsung phones
Say you have settled on Nexus Link, the chain design, and are choosing the phone underneath it. All three versions share the same dark hexagon panel, the same five panel colours and the same three metals. Here is what changes, using Samsung’s published figures as quoted on each product page:
From $ 4,090. A 6.9-inch flat display, built-in S Pen, 200MP main camera with 3x and 5x telephotos. The only Rhodium Samsung with its frame plated to match the chain.
From $ 4,590. A 7.6-inch inner and 5.5-inch cover display, two 50MP rear cameras, 4,800mAh battery, 201g as Samsung ships it. Frame and hinge left unplated.
From $ 7,430. A larger 8.0-inch inner and 6.5-inch cover display, 200MP main camera with 3x telephoto, 5,000mAh battery. Frame and hinge left unplated.
The question to ask is whether you want a foldable at all. If you do, the step from Z Fold8 to Z Fold8 Ultra buys bigger screens and the 200MP camera system; our Z Fold8 or Z Fold8 Ultra comparison covers that step design by design. If you do not, the S26 Ultra gives you the Rhodium look with an S Pen and a plated frame.
Rhodium or Prime on a Samsung? Nexus Link vs Prestige Link
The Nexus Link pages describe it as the Rhodium counterpart of Prestige Link from the Prime collection. Both run a heavy curb chain down the right-hand side of the back. The difference is the ground it sits on: Prestige Link has a mirror-smooth plated back, so the whole phone reads as metal, while Nexus Link sets the chain against the dark hexagon texture in one of five colours, so the chain is the only bright element.
| Phone | Nexus Link (Rhodium) | Prestige Link (Prime) |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | $ 4,090 to $ 4,690 | $ 4,090 to $ 4,690 |
| Galaxy Z Fold8 | $ 4,590 to $ 5,290 | $ 4,590 to $ 5,290 |
| Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra | $ 7,430 to $ 7,860 | $ 7,430 to $ 7,860 |
Compare the two columns for your phone; beyond price, the choice is about taste. Neither keeps wireless charging, since both backs carry metal. Choose Prestige Link if you want the phone to look like gold; choose Nexus Link if you want it to look like a dark phone wearing a gold chain, and if you would like a colour (green, blue, red or fuchsia) in the panel.
Using a phone you already own
The iPhone 18 Pro Rhodium pages and all twelve Samsung Rhodium pages include a “Use my own” option, priced lower than buying the phone through Leronza, because you supply the handset. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Duo Rhodium pages do not show that option, so those are supplied as new phones. If you go the send-in route, our step-by-step send-in guide explains how the phone travels to Dubai and back. On Samsung models, the product pages note that the power adapter is included with every phone Leronza supplies, but a phone you send in is returned without one.
How to choose a Rhodium design
If you rely on MagSafe, a wireless pad or tap-to-pay on the phone, your choice is the iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone Duo matte editions. Every Samsung Rhodium design charges by USB-C only. For the wider picture, see which gold iPhone 18 Pro designs keep MagSafe.
Flat iPhone, folding iPhone, flat Galaxy with S Pen, or one of two Galaxy foldables. Check the live price tables above for your phone.
On Apple, pick a colour, then a metal. On Samsung, pick how much metal you want (Nucleus 1.0 to 3.0, or the chain), then the panel colour, then the metal. Our platinum finish guide helps if you are torn between platinum and gold.
Ordering, payment and aftercare
Every Rhodium phone is made to order in Leronza’s Dubai atelier. You can pay a 50% deposit or the full amount, and the checkout settles in USD (or AED if you are browsing in AED); our payment guide covers the methods. Customisation takes around one to two weeks, and shipping is complimentary, insured and tracked, with a signature required on delivery. The UAE and UK carry no import duties; elsewhere duties are paid by the buyer. Because each phone is made to order, there are no returns, and the customisation itself carries a two-year warranty, explained condition by condition in our warranty guide. For keeping the plated details bright, follow our care guide.
If you would rather see the finishes in person, the showroom is Showroom 3, Aswar Building, near Business Bay Metro in Dubai, open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 19:00. You can also reach the team on WhatsApp at +971 4 330 9600 or by email at sales@leronza.com.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Leronza Rhodium collection plated in rhodium?
On the ready-made products, Rhodium is the name of the collection rather than a metal option. Every Rhodium product page lists three metals to choose from, 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, at the same price. What defines the line is a dark or matte ground with bright metal accents, rather than a back plated all over.
Which Rhodium phones keep wireless charging?
The matte colour editions of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo keep MagSafe and Qi2, because no precious metal covers the back. The iPhone 17 Pro Rhodium pages do not state it either way. All Samsung Rhodium designs (Nucleus 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and Nexus Link) lose wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay, and charge by USB-C.
Does the panel colour change the price on Samsung Rhodium designs?
No. The Samsung Rhodium panel comes in Noir, Verdant, Royale Blue, Crimson Red or Rose Fuchsia, and the product pages state that every colour and every metal is the same price. Storage, the phone itself, and whether Leronza supplies the handset are what move the price.
Can I get a Rhodium design on a phone I already own?
Yes for the iPhone 18 Pro and the three Samsung phones, whose Rhodium pages include a “Use my own” option. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Duo Rhodium pages are for new phones only. For other devices, the Customise Your Device page offers a bespoke Rhodium tier from US$2,590.
What is the difference between Nexus Link and Prestige Link?
Both run a heavy curb chain down the right-hand side of a Samsung back. Prestige Link, from the Prime collection, has a mirror-smooth plated back. Nexus Link, its Rhodium counterpart, sets the chain against a dark hexagon-textured panel in one of five colours. Neither supports wireless charging. Nexus Link on the Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at $ 4,090.
