Every Stone by Hand.
Our artisans placed every crystal individually. So there is no shortcut, no wrap and no printed film. Instead, each stone sits in adhesive on a gold surface that the workshop prepared, plated and polished before setting began. At that density, a single misaligned row shows from across a room, which is why the 24K gold Segway took seven months rather than seven weeks.

The Build
Where the
Stones Went.
The crystals do not scatter randomly across the machine. Instead, they follow the three surfaces a rider and an onlooker actually see — the vertical bar, the front fork, and the edges of the deck.
01 — The Bar
Stones sleeve the full height of the steering column, so the part your hands hold while riding also catches the light first.
02 — The Fork
Our setters work stones around the curve of both fork legs — the hardest surface on the machine to follow, because the stones must stay in line while the metal bends.
03 — The Side Deck
Meanwhile, a continuous band of crystals runs the length of both deck edges, framing the gold platform and outlining the whole machine in profile.

The gold Segway costs more than most supercars and travels at a walking pace. In fact, that contradiction is the entire point: Leronza took the least glamorous vehicle on the road and spent seven months turning it into a jewellery piece under the GoldPrivé name.
What Is the 24K Gold Segway?
It starts as a genuine Ninebot KickScooter Powered by Segway. Then our artisans disassemble it, plate it in real 24K gold and hand-set simulated diamonds across the handlebar column, front fork and deck edges. In short, it is the world’s first gold and crystal-encrusted Segway, and it remains fully functional — it folds, it rides, it charges.
Simulated Diamonds, Stated Plainly
GoldPrivé uses high-quality simulated diamonds — that is, crystals, not mined diamonds. After all, at this density, mined diamonds would put the price into the millions and make the machine too precious to ride. Simulated stones give the same fire under light on a scooter built for riding, and Leronza says so openly rather than leaving buyers to guess.
Why a Scooter?
Because jewellers had already gilded almost everything else. Gold phones, gold watches and gold laptops are an established category; by comparison, a gold e-scooter was not. The 24K gold Segway exists to prove how much gold plating can transform. In addition, the 24K gold racing bike that followed makes the same argument on two wheels.

Indeed, the 300W motor, three power modes, cruise control, regenerative front braking and rear step brake are all as the factory built them. It also climbs gradients to 15 degrees, carries up to 100 kg, rolls on 9-inch wheels and folds with one push. Above all, the gold and the crystals sit on the surfaces, never in the drivetrain.

Are the diamonds real?
No — the 24K gold Segway carries simulated diamonds, and Leronza describes them that way deliberately. Set at this density, the same work in mined diamonds would run to millions and produce a machine nobody would dare ride.
How many crystals are on it, and where?
Our artisans set every stone by hand on the 24K gold Segway. They cover three surfaces: the full handlebar column, both front fork legs, as well as a continuous band along each side of the deck.
Can you actually ride it?
Yes. It is a working Ninebot KickScooter Powered by Segway — 300W motor, three power modes, cruise control, regenerative front braking and a rear step brake. Because GoldPrivé applies the gold and stones to surfaces, not to the drivetrain, it rides as the factory intended.

The original took seven months. Even so, Leronza quotes each new commission individually, because the timeline depends on the crystal colourway and any monogram or livery work.
Does the gold plating affect the weight or handling?
Plating on a 24K gold Segway sits at micron thickness, so it adds no meaningful weight. The stones add a little, but the folding mechanism, 100 kg load rating and 15-degree gradient limit still match the factory specification.

Is it road legal where I live?
Underneath the gold it runs as a standard Segway e-scooter, so the rules that apply to e-scooters in your country also apply to it. Those vary widely, so check locally before riding it on public roads or paths. In fact, most owners keep theirs on private property.
