Few details say jewellery as plainly as a chain, and the Prestige Link Gold Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra sets a heavy curb-style link chain along the right-hand edge of an otherwise smooth, polished back. The work begins with a brand-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. In Dubai, Samsung’s rear glass is replaced by a new back panel plated 5–7 microns thick in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, and the chain is made in the same metal. It belongs to the Prime line of our gold Galaxy Z Fold8 collection.

Everything else on the panel is kept deliberately quiet. The camera surround is plated to match, the finish is named in small lettering beside a GoldPrivé mark lower down, and there is no pattern to compete with the links. Samsung’s frame and hinge are not plated. The three metals cost the same.

Up close on the 24K Gold version, the contrast between the flat mirror of the panel and the chunky, rounded links tells the whole story, with the camera surround adding a third polished outline. The Prestige Link Gold Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra keeps its hinge free of plating so the fold performs as Samsung designed it. Its two displays, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, 200MP main camera and battery are likewise untouched, and the frame is left unplated.

Day to day, Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s updates work as they do on any Fold8 Ultra. Two contactless functions are lost to the metal back: wireless charging, and the NFC connection Samsung Wallet uses for tap-to-pay. Charge with the USB‑C cable instead.
