The Commission
Made in One Country.
Finished in Another.
Everything else GoldPrivé sells begins in the Dubai atelier. This set begins in Egypt, in the hands of craftsmen who have been shaping the same three subjects for generations — and Leronza’s work starts only once theirs is finished.
Collecting, or gifting?
The set is commissioned as three; individual pieces, additional subjects and alternative finishes can be discussed before an order is placed.
Two Ateliers,
Two Continents.
Leronza’s procurement team selects these ornaments in Egypt in person rather than ordering them from a catalogue — each piece assessed for its authenticity and for the skill that went into making it. Only the ones that pass travel to Dubai.
There, GoldPrivé’s craftsmen embellish the ornament in its entirety in 24K gold: the striping of the nemes headdress, the cobra and vulture at the brow, the cartouches on the chest, the lotus at the base. Nothing is left plain, and nothing is simplified to make the gilding easier.

The Three Pieces
Who They Are.
Three of the most recognisable subjects in Egyptian art, and each one chosen for a reason rather than for looking Egyptian.

01 — Tutankhamun
The boy pharaoh, whose near-intact tomb was uncovered in 1922 and made him the most famous ruler of the ancient world. The bust follows his funerary mask — striped headdress, cobra and vulture at the brow, plaited beard.

02 — The Great Sphinx
A lion’s body with a human head, carved from the Giza bedrock and facing the sunrise for some four and a half thousand years. Among the largest and oldest monumental sculptures anywhere.

03 — The Mau
Mau is simply the ancient Egyptian word for cat. Cats were sacred, associated with the goddess Bastet and kept in households across Egypt — which is why the figurine belongs with a pharaoh and a monument.

Because each ornament is shaped by hand before it is gilded, no two sets are identical — the variation is in the making, not in the finish.

24K Gold Egyptian Ornaments by GoldPrivé — Two Crafts, One Object.
This is the one set in the collection where Leronza is the second pair of hands. Egyptian craftsmen make the ornaments; GoldPrivé gilds them — and the piece you receive carries both.
What Is in the Set?
Three ornaments: a Tutankhamun bust modelled on the pharaoh’s funerary mask, a Great Sphinx of Giza, and a Mau figurine. Each is handmade in Egypt, selected in person by Leronza’s procurement team, then embellished in its entirety in genuine 24K gold in the Dubai atelier.
These Are Not Antiquities
Worth stating plainly: these are contemporary ornaments made by living craftsmen, not excavated artefacts. They are made today by families who have produced the same subjects for generations, bought openly and legitimately in Egypt. Nothing in this set is an antiquity, and nothing about it should be mistaken for one.
Why Gild Something Already Finished?
Because the subjects were gold to begin with. Tutankhamun’s mask is gold; the imagery these craftsmen work from is gold. Embellishing the ornaments in 24K gold returns them to the material the originals were made in — which is a very different exercise to gilding a scooter or a golf club.
Where They Belong
A set of three carries a shelf, a console table or a display case in a way a single ornament cannot. They are commissioned for private collections, for hotel and restaurant interiors with an Egyptian theme, and as gifts for people with a connection to Egypt — where the provenance matters as much as the gold.
Real 24K Gold, Certified
The finish is genuine 24K gold — 24ct gold in UK spelling — certified on delivery, and applied to the same standard as the gold shisha, the gold crystal glassware and every piece in the 24K gold luxury gifts collection.
Ordering and Delivery
The set is made to order, cushioned individually, crated and shipped fully insured worldwide with a Certificate of Authenticity, serial verification and aftercare through Leronza Care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Considering the Egyptian Ornaments?
Are these genuine antiquities?
No, and we would not sell them if they were. These are contemporary ornaments made today by Egyptian craftsmen whose families have produced the same subjects for generations, bought openly in Egypt and then gilded by GoldPrivé.
What is included in the set?
Three pieces: a Tutankhamun bust, a Great Sphinx of Giza and a Mau figurine. They are commissioned together as a set.
Are they solid gold?
They are ornaments embellished in their entirety in genuine 24K gold, not solid gold castings — which is what allows them to be this size at this price.
Who actually makes them?
Egyptian craftsmen make the ornaments. Leronza’s procurement team selects them in person and assesses each for authenticity and workmanship, and GoldPrivé’s craftsmen in Dubai apply the gold.
How big are they?
Because each ornament is individually made rather than moulded to a fixed size, dimensions are confirmed on enquiry before you order.
Can I buy just one piece?
The set of three is what is held in the collection, but single pieces and additional subjects can be discussed before an order is placed.
Will each set look exactly like the photographs?
Very close, but not identical. These are shaped by hand before they are gilded, so small variations between pieces are inherent — that is the nature of handmade work rather than a flaw.
Can they be done in another metal?
Yes — rose gold and platinum are available, and stone or crystal detailing and engraved plinths can be added.
How should they be cleaned?
A soft dry cloth, and nothing else. Avoid polishes, solvents and any abrasive cloth, particularly in the deep detail of the headdress and cartouches where a cloth can catch.
How are they delivered?
Each ornament is cushioned individually and the set is crated, fully insured, door to door from Dubai to anywhere in the world.
