How to Gold-Plate Your Own iPhone: Leronza’s Real Send-In Process

Gold-plated iPhone Duo returned to its owner after Leronza customisation

Most people searching for a gold iPhone assume they have to buy a second phone. There’s another route: send Leronza the phone you already own, and it comes back finished in genuine 24K gold, rose gold, or platinum — with the same serial number it left with. This is how that send-in customisation service actually works, based on Leronza’s own published process.

Buying Ready-Made vs. Customising Your Own

Buy a Ready-Made Gold iPhone

You get a second device — a new phone finished in gold. You set it up from scratch, and it carries a new serial number.

Customise the Phone You Own

You keep the handset you’ve already set up, insured, and loaded with your number and photos. It comes back in precious metal with its original serial number.

The Process, Step by Step

Tell Leronza the model and the look. Photos and your exact device model by WhatsApp, email, or the contact form. You get a firm quote and visual mockups before anything is taken apart.
Approve and pay a 50% deposit. Leronza lists card, bank transfer, cash, or USDT to start, with the balance due before handover.
Bring or ship the device in. Walk in at the Dubai showroom, or ship it from anywhere in the world.
Customisation, 1–2 weeks. The device is disassembled, plated, finished, and quality-checked by the in-house team.
Balance, then handover. Pay the balance, and the finished phone is handed over or shipped back insured.

Which Phones Can Be Customised

Leronza’s customisation service covers the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max (priced by the 6.3-inch Pro and 6.9-inch Pro Max sizes), the iPhone Air, the iPhone Duo, any Galaxy S Ultra, and any Galaxy Z Fold. If you’d rather buy a finished device than send yours in, see our guides to the 24K Gold iPhone 18 Pro Max and the full Leronza iPhone lineup.

Seven Collections, Two Surface Styles

Customisation runs across seven collections — Classic, Prime, Rhodium, Leather, Pearl, Carbon Fiber, and Ecstasy — with Signature or 3D surface treatments on most of them. On the bejeweled Ecstasy collection (Iconix, IconixEdge, IconixBold, and Supernova), you choose between simulated stones and genuine VS1 diamonds, and Leronza states in writing which one you’re getting. Custom engraving — a name, initials, a short message, or an uploaded logo — is available as a paid add-on.

What It Costs

Device TypeCustomisation Price Range
Phones (iPhone and Galaxy)$ 1,190–$ 14,790
The range is wide because price depends on the device size and the collection you choose — a flat-finish Classic on an iPhone Pro sits at the bottom, while Ecstasy with VS1 diamonds sits at the top. All three metals — 24K gold, rose gold, and platinum — cost the same within any given choice, so the metal is a matter of taste rather than budget.

Warranty and What Changes

Leronza gives a 2-year warranty on the customisation itself. Because the device is opened during plating, you should not assume Apple’s or Samsung’s own warranty and water-resistance rating carry over unchanged — ask Leronza to confirm what applies to your specific model before you order. On the watch side, Leronza’s own listing is explicit that a customised Apple Watch will not be waterproof.

Every customisation is made to order for one customer, so returns aren’t offered. That’s why the visual mockup and written quote come first — review both carefully before approving.

Delivery and Shipping

Customisation takes roughly 1–2 weeks, with an estimated dispatch of 7–14 working days on the order page. Shipping is complimentary worldwide, fully insured, and tracked. Finished pieces go back out by insured DHL for international clients; Leronza serves clients in more than 40 countries this way.

If You’re in Dubai

The showroom — Showroom 3, Aswar Building, near Business Bay Metro Station — takes walk-ins Monday to Saturday, 09:00–19:00. Bring the device and it can be assessed and quoted while you wait; the evaluation is free and the price is confirmed before any work starts.
