Every rose begins as a real flower, chosen for its form and cut at the moment it opens fully. It is preserved first — shape, texture and the grain of each petal held exactly as they were — and only then dipped, so the gold records a real bloom rather than a mould of one.
Look closely at a finished rose and the veining of the petals and the serration of the leaves are still there under the metal. That is the difference between a dipped flower and a cast ornament, and it is the reason no two are quite alike.
