The CarbonFiber Royale Gold iPhone Air puts two very different crafts on one back. Around the camera, the plated top is engraved with baroque scrollwork; beneath it, matte woven carbon fibre fills the panel. Every Royale is built from an unlocked, brand-new Apple iPhone Air, customised by hand in our Dubai atelier, and sits within the Carbon Fibre iPhone Air collection.
Engineering keeps the ornament in check. A polished chevron band, dotted with small screw fixings, separates scrollwork from weave, while polished side rails with line detail and matching fixings run the length of both edges. The twill carbon stays soft and matte beside the mirror-bright metal, a contrast borrowed as much from motorsport as from fine jewellery. All metal on the replacement back panel, and the titanium frame too, is plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at 5–7 microns, with a small plated GoldPrivé nameplate at the base.

We work only on the outside. Apple’s rear panel is swapped for the Royale panel with its engraving, rails and carbon, and the titanium frame is given the same plating so the edges and buttons match. Screen, A19 Pro chip, cameras, battery and internals are never opened, so Apple Pay, eSIM, 5G, Face ID and the 48MP Fusion camera behave as on any factory iPhone Air, and iOS updates install as usual.
Wireless charging is the one casualty. Behind the carbon lies plated metal, which MagSafe and Qi2 cannot charge through, so the Royale takes its power from USB‑C.
