Leronza Ecstasy Collection: The Diamond Designs on Each Gold iPhone, and What Natural Stones Add
Ecstasy is Leronza’s diamond collection. Every design in it starts from the same base: a back panel plated and polished in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, with diamonds set into it. What changes from one design to the next is how much of the back the stones cover. It goes from the Apple logo alone, to the logo plus the camera area, to an outline around the whole panel, and finally to a fully paved back.
The bigger cost decision usually gets less attention than the design. On every Ecstasy phone you choose between simulated diamonds and natural diamonds of VS1 clarity, and the price gap between the two depends on how many stones the design uses. On the logo-only design, natural stones add very little. On the larger designs, they cost more than the phone underneath. That leads to some results you might not expect: natural diamonds on the simplest design can cost less than simulated stones on the next design up. This guide shows what Ecstasy means on each phone that carries it, with live prices from the product pages, so you can see where the money goes before you choose.
The four levels of diamond coverage
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max carry the full ladder, so they make the clearest reference. These descriptions come from the four product pages.
Iconix
Diamonds in the Apple logo only, set at the centre of a polished plated back. The product page calls it the quietest way to wear diamonds in the collection.
IconixBold
The diamond logo plus a camera plateau set solid with stones. Every lens stays clear. It is the middle tier.
IconixEdge
A continuous line of diamonds around the edge of the back panel and around the camera plateau, with a diamond Apple logo at the centre.
Astranova
The whole back panel is pavé-set, the camera plateau is set to match and the logo sits inside the field. It uses the most stones Leronza sets on an iPhone.
Astranova has its own detailed guide, Astranova: Leronza’s fully paved diamond edition, explained. This article covers the whole collection, including the designs that change from one phone to another.
What Ecstasy means on each phone
The names stay the same across the range, but the designs aren’t identical on every phone. Three differences matter if you’re comparing.
| Phone | Designs in Ecstasy | What is different here |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro & Pro Max | Iconix, IconixBold, IconixEdge, Astranova | The reference ladder described above. The frame is plated but never drilled or set. |
| iPhone Air | Iconix, IconixBold, CelestialEdge, Astranova | There is no IconixEdge on the Air. CelestialEdge takes its place: a pavé diamond border around the back, broken at intervals by small polished bars, with your name or initials engraved down a polished centre strip between two textured panels. The titanium frame is plated to match. |
| iPhone Duo | Iconix, IconixBold, IconixEdge, Astranova | On the Duo, IconixBold is a broad band of pavé diamonds across the back plate rather than a set camera plateau. The frame, hinge and both displays are left as Apple made them. |
| iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max | Iconix, IconixBold, IconixEdge | No Astranova. On this generation, the IconixEdge page describes the frame itself as set with diamonds. That’s the only Ecstasy design that puts stones on the frame rather than on a back panel. The Iconix page also offers your own logo, name or initials in diamonds in place of the Apple logo. |
Live prices: simulated against natural VS1
The table below shows starting prices for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max at 256GB, supplied with a new phone. All three metals cost the same on every Ecstasy page, so the only variables are the design, the stone grade and the phone size.
| Design | 18 Pro, simulated | 18 Pro, VS1 | 18 Pro Max, simulated | 18 Pro Max, VS1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iconix | $ 4,090 | $ 4,390 | $ 4,290 | $ 4,590 |
| IconixBold | $ 4,790 | $ 10,790 | $ 4,990 | $ 11,790 |
| IconixEdge | $ 5,090 | $ 13,090 | $ 5,490 | $ 13,790 |
| Astranova | $ 5,790 | $ 13,790 | $ 6,190 | $ 14,190 |
Read the table from left to right and the pattern is clear. On Iconix, the VS1 column sits only slightly above the simulated column, because only the logo is set. On the other three designs, natural stones more than double the starting price. The phone and storage cost the same whichever design you choose. Each step up in storage, from 256GB to 512GB, 1TB and 2TB, adds the same amount on all four designs. So the gap between designs is the work and the stones.
Moving from the Pro to the Pro Max adds a modest amount with simulated stones. With VS1 stones the step is bigger on IconixBold and IconixEdge, so check the Pro Max column on its own if you want the larger phone with natural diamonds.
The iPhone Air, iPhone Duo and iPhone 17 Pro
| Phone (new, smallest storage) | Design | Simulated | VS1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone Air | Iconix | $ 3,890 | $ 4,190 |
| IconixBold | $ 4,390 | $ 8,190 | |
| CelestialEdge | $ 4,690 | $ 10,390 | |
| Astranova | $ 5,390 | $ 13,390 | |
| iPhone Duo | Iconix | $ 4,890 | $ 5,190 |
| IconixBold | $ 5,190 | $ 11,990 | |
| IconixEdge | $ 5,190 | $ 13,490 | |
| Astranova | $ 5,890 | $ 13,890 | |
| iPhone 17 Pro | Iconix | $ 3,990 | $ 4,290 |
| IconixBold | $ 4,690 | $ 10,690 | |
| IconixEdge | $ 4,990 | $ 12,990 |
Two things stand out here. On the iPhone Duo, IconixBold and IconixEdge share the same simulated starting price, so with simulated stones you can choose between the band and the outline on looks alone. On the iPhone Air, CelestialEdge sits between IconixBold and Astranova, and it is the only Ecstasy design in the range with a personal engraving built into the design.
Where the price ladders cross
Because the VS1 premium grows with the number of stones, the cheapest way to get a given look isn’t always the lowest tier. Using the iPhone 18 Pro prices above:
Natural stones, smaller design
Iconix with natural VS1 diamonds ($ 4,390) costs less than IconixBold with simulated stones ($ 4,790). If natural diamonds matter more to you than how much of the back sparkles, the logo-only design is the only Ecstasy phone where that choice is inexpensive.
More sparkle, simulated stones
Astranova with simulated stones ($ 5,790) costs far less than IconixBold with natural stones ($ 10,790). If you want the most diamond coverage you can get, a fully paved simulated back gives far more coverage than a partly set natural one for the money.
On the product pages, VS1 is described in the terms of the GIA clarity scale, where inclusions are difficult to see under magnification. Paying for VS1 means paying for natural, graded stones. That’s a different decision from how much of the back you want covered, so it helps to settle the two separately.
Sending in your own phone
On the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Air, every Ecstasy page has a “use my own” option, so you pay only for the customisation. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Duo Ecstasy editions are currently sold with a new phone only.
| Customisation only | 18 Pro, simulated | 18 Pro, VS1 | Air, simulated | Air, VS1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iconix | $ 2,790 | $ 3,090 | $ 2,690 | $ 2,990 |
| IconixBold | $ 3,490 | $ 9,490 | $ 3,190 | $ 6,990 |
| IconixEdge / CelestialEdge | $ 3,790 | $ 11,790 | $ 3,490 | $ 9,190 |
| Astranova | $ 4,490 | $ 12,490 | $ 4,190 | $ 12,190 |
These are 18 Pro prices; the Pro Max costs a little more for each design. The send-in process is covered step by step in How to send your iPhone for customisation. Whether sending in is worth it compared with buying ready-made is covered in Customise your own or buy ready-made?
What every Ecstasy phone gives up
Everything else stays as Apple built it. The pages say the display, chip, cameras, battery and internals aren’t opened, so Face ID (Touch ID on the Duo), Apple Pay, 5G and iOS updates carry on normally. On the IconixBold and Astranova camera settings, stones go around the lenses, never over them. If wireless charging is a deal-breaker, our guide to which gold iPhone 18 Pro designs keep MagSafe and Qi2 lists the families that keep it. The Classic collection is the usual place to look.
The case alternative
The Ecstasy name also appears on two cases, which put the look on an iPhone without customising the phone itself. The Iconix case (from $ 1,590) has a crystal-set Apple cutout on a mirror-polished back with carbon-fibre flanks. The Astranova case (from $ 2,190) covers the whole back in a dense crystal micro-grid around a crystal-pavé Apple cutout. Both are plated at 5 to 7 microns in the same three metals and cut to the model you name, anywhere from the iPhone 14 Pro to the 18 Pro Max.
The case pages specify crystals, not diamonds, so a case shouldn’t be treated as a cheaper version of a diamond phone. It is mainly useful for an older Pro model, or if you want to keep your phone untouched. Wireless charging won’t pass through the metal back, so take the case off to charge on a pad. More case options are compared in the gold iPhone case guide.
How to choose
If natural diamonds are a must, Iconix is the only design where they cost little extra. On every other design, VS1 is the biggest single cost in the order.
With simulated stones, the steps between designs are modest. On the Duo, the band and the outline cost the same to start. Choose by how much of the back you want to shine.
The 17 Pro is the only generation that sets the frame, on IconixEdge. The Air swaps IconixEdge for the engraved CelestialEdge. The Duo keeps its hinge untouched.
All three metals cost the same throughout, so choose the one you prefer. Customisation usually takes about one to two weeks, though the Astranova iPhone 18 Pro page notes that setting a full panel by hand takes longer. You can pay a 50% deposit or the full amount, and the payment options are set out in how to pay for a gold iPhone at Leronza. The customisation carries a two-year warranty. What it covers and what voids it are explained in our warranty guide. Because each phone is made to order, returns aren’t accepted, which is one more reason to confirm stone placement and grade in writing before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Iconix, IconixBold, IconixEdge and Astranova?
It is how much of the back carries diamonds. Iconix sets only the Apple logo. IconixBold adds a diamond-set camera plateau (on the iPhone Duo, a broad diamond band across the back plate). IconixEdge runs a line of diamonds around the edge of the back panel, plus the logo. Astranova paves the entire back panel. On the iPhone Air, CelestialEdge replaces IconixEdge and adds an engraved name or initials.
How much do natural VS1 diamonds add to an Ecstasy phone?
It depends on the design. On the iPhone 18 Pro at 256GB, Iconix goes from $ 4,090 with simulated stones to $ 4,390 with VS1. Astranova goes from $ 5,790 to $ 13,790. The more stones a design uses, the bigger the gap, and on IconixBold, IconixEdge and Astranova natural stones more than double the starting price.
Does an Ecstasy gold iPhone support wireless charging?
No. Every Ecstasy product page says MagSafe and Qi2 stop working once the back is plated and set with stones, so the phone charges by USB-C cable. Face ID, Apple Pay, the cameras and iOS updates are unaffected. The phone is also not water resistant once customised.
Can I send in my own iPhone for an Ecstasy design?
Yes, on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max and the iPhone Air. For example, Iconix on your own iPhone 18 Pro starts at $ 2,790 with simulated stones. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Duo Ecstasy editions are sold with a new phone only.
Are the Ecstasy iPhone cases set with diamonds?
No. The Iconix and Astranova case pages describe crystal settings on a plated metal back, from $ 1,590 and $ 2,190 respectively. They fit the iPhone 14 Pro through to the 18 Pro Max. For natural or simulated diamonds, choose one of the Ecstasy phones.
