At the heart of the Imperial Gold Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a jaguar in mid-leap, polished to a high shine and set on a contrasting band of white metal. Each one is made from a brand-new, unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: our Dubai atelier replaces the rear glass with a new back panel and plates it at 5–7 microns in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum. The composition works in layers. A pyramid texture covers the panel from top to bottom; across it runs a chevron with a finely lined surface, edged in polished metal and dotted with small screw fixings; and a GoldPrivé nameplate marks the base. The camera surround shares the main finish, whereas the frame and hinge are left unplated, just as Samsung supplies them. Choosing Platinum over 24K Gold, or Rose Gold over either, does not alter the price.

In this close crop of the 24K Gold version, the contrast is easy to read: warm, studded gold above and below, cool lined metal through the chevron, and the gold jaguar stretched across its centre. Its hinge carries no plating, so folding feels the way Samsung intended, and the displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, the 200MP camera and the battery remain exactly as they left the factory.
Galaxy AI features, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s updates stay fully available. Wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay do not, because the plated panel stands in the way of both the charging field and the NFC signal. Imperial is charged through its USB‑C port.
