We plate the outer pot, its rims and its base, then polish them to a mirror. The black magnetic insert is left exactly as made, because it is the working heart of the piece. From above, that dark circle sits within rings of bright metal, shown in our photographs in 24K Gold; Rose Gold and Platinum pots keep the same black centre.
Drop in a handful of clips and they settle against the well; lift one and the rest stay put. Steel clips cling, while plastic ones simply rest there.

Wipe the rims and body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth; the black insert needs only the same dry cloth now and then. Avoid abrasive pastes and chemical cleaners, and keep perfume, hand cream and moisture off the plated metal.
