A flat top rests on two fluted columns, a stepped base anchors them, and between the columns the dial seems to hover inside a clear panel. It is the grander of the two timepieces in our gold desk accessories.
On a desk, a bookcase shelf or a mantelpiece it reads like a small portico. Because the panel is clear, the wall or window behind shows through, so the piece feels lighter than its columns suggest.
Frame and Face Plated Columns, Untouched Dial
The metal goes on the structure: the stepped base, both columns, the flat top and the bezel that rings the dial. Each is plated at 5–7 microns and polished to a mirror. The dial, the hands, the clear panel and the clock movement are left exactly as made, so it keeps time just as it was built to. Rose Gold and Platinum cost the same as gold. Beside the white dial, Platinum gives a cool, all-silver architectural look, while 24K Gold and Rose Gold bring warmth to it.
