The tray and its four corner posts are plated at 5–7 microns and polished. The pad is different: it is ordinary paper that you replace as the notes run out, so the metal is the lasting part and the paper is the part you use. Our photographs show 24K Gold with a white pad; Rose Gold and Platinum trays frame paper in exactly the same way.
There are no hinges, springs or clips to adjust. The posts stop the pad drifting, and a replacement settles straight in between them.

Lift the pad out and clean the tray with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth, reaching into each corner. Never use abrasive or chemical cleaners on it. Keep hand cream, perfume and moisture away from the metal.
