We start from a brand-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, fit a new back panel plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at 5–7 microns, and finish the camera surround to match; the frame and hinge stay exactly as Samsung made them. It is the plainest design in the Prime line of our gold Galaxy Z Fold8 collection.
Closed, the phone presents a clean slab of metal: three camera lenses set in a polished surround near the top, and a small GoldPrivé mark close to the base. Open it and the 8-inch main screen is exactly as Samsung designed it. Every finish carries the same price, so the choice comes down to colour alone.

Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s updates therefore keep working normally. The metal back does rule out two features: wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay both rely on signals that cannot pass through it, so the Elite is charged by USB‑C cable.
