Nothing Left Unplated The All-Metal Gold Hole Punch
A hole punch is usually the plainest object on a desk. We took the opposite view. The Gold Hole Punch is finished in metal from the tip of its lever to the rim of its flared base, so it looks less like stationery and more like a small sculpture set down among the files. The lever swells into a rounded handle that the palm finds without looking, and one press brings the punching heads down through the pages. A guide arrow on the base helps line them up.
Mirror on Every Surface What the Plating Covers
Everything you can see carries the metal: lever, frame, fittings and base, plated at 5–7 microns and polished until it mirrors the room. The punching mechanism under the lever is left exactly as it was made, so the punch cuts as it did before it reached our atelier.
Our photographs show 24K Gold. Platinum turns it silvery and cool; Rose Gold warms it with a hint of copper. With no black parts to interrupt it, the chosen metal becomes the whole piece, and all three are the same price.
