Our Gold Plated iPhone Air Elite keeps the idea simple: one precious metal, from edge to edge. We start from a new, unlocked Apple iPhone Air, fit a freshly plated back panel and plate the titanium frame to match, in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at a thickness of 5–7 microns.
There is no pattern, inlay or stone. The camera plateau across the top wears the same finish, the Apple logo stays in place and a small GoldPrivé mark sits low on the back. Apple designed the Air at just 5.64 mm deep, and in solid-looking metal that slim outline reads almost like a polished ingot. Elite leads the Prime iPhone Air collection and leaves the entire back free for engraving.
Frame and Back Where the Metal Goes, and Where It Doesn’t
Everything we change is on the outside. The original rear panel comes off and a new plated one goes on, and the titanium band around the phone is plated in the same metal, so the side buttons, edges and camera plateau match the back. Inside, nothing is touched: the display, the A19 Pro chip, the cameras and the battery stay exactly as Apple made them.
Face ID, the 48MP Fusion camera, 5G, Apple Pay and iOS updates therefore work normally. Charging is the one difference — a metal back blocks MagSafe and Qi2, so the Elite is charged through its USB‑C port.
