White changes the mood of the Ultra2 more than any other band. Against it the plated bezel looks warmer, and the buckle stands out clearly at the side of the wrist. It is the natural choice for a Gulf summer, a beach club or the deck of a boat (worn, never dipped), and it sits happily with linen and pale tailoring. Rose Gold on white feels soft, Platinum crisp and cool, and 24K Gold the most vivid of the three.

Our work is limited to the parts you notice first. The bezel and the buttons, the Quick Button among them, are plated, and on the strap only the buckle and loop are. The white band stays Samsung’s, as do the titanium case sides, the display, the processor, the sensors and the 800mAh battery, which Samsung rates for up to 80 hours. The sensor back is never plated.
That bare back is what keeps Samsung’s wireless charger working as designed: set the watch on it and it charges. Health tracking, workouts and Wear OS updates are unaffected too. To wear it, pass the band through the buckle, fasten it at whichever hole is comfortable and slip the end under the loop; readjust it any time.

Samsung designed the Marine Band for water sports, but once customised this watch must stay dry, meaning no swimming, diving or showering; its original water ratings no longer count once it is plated.
