Nocturne Edition Matte Black iPhone 18 Pro Max, Finished in Midnight
The Matte Black iPhone 18 Pro Max, our Nocturne Edition, replaces gloss with a deep satin black that swallows reflections. The body is refinished in a matte anodised coating, and the camera rings, side buttons and logo detail are plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.
Black and gold is the oldest pairing in luxury for a reason: nothing else makes precious metal read so clearly. It anchors our matte collection.
How It Is Made Anodised Body, Plated Details
Nocturne begins with stripping the factory finish and re-anodising the body in satin black; only then are the lens rings, buttons and logo detail plated and refitted.
No precious metal ever covers the back, which is why this edition keeps MagSafe and Qi2 charging while our fully plated designs lose it. Apple’s screens, cameras and internals are never opened.

Nocturne is built on a new, unlocked iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max, so what follows is Apple’s own hardware sheet, drawn from the Apple tech specs.
Read the table as written: even the charging row holds, because the matte finish is anodising rather than plating. Once a device has been refinished, it is not water resistant, so keep it away from water.

Matte black hides fingerprints better than any finish we offer, which makes the Nocturne the most practical phone in the range.
Nocturne is finished in Dubai and handed over in a leather presentation box with Apple’s documentation, a Certificate of Authenticity, a USB‑C cable and a 20W adapter.

Who applies the black finish?
We do. The body is re-anodised in satin black in our own Dubai workshop; Apple’s factory black is a different, glossier tone.
Is the black the same as Apple’s black?
No. Apple’s black is a factory anodised finish; ours is a deeper satin matte applied in our own atelier.
Which accent metal works best?
24K Gold is the classic pairing with black; Platinum gives a colder, more technical look.
Will MagSafe accessories still snap on?
Yes. Nothing metallic is added to the back, so magnets hold and Qi2 charging runs at the usual speed.
Does matte black show marks?
Less than any other finish we offer. Skin oils wipe away with a dry cloth and the satin surface hides micro-scratches.

Does re-anodising void anything?
