Hamsa With Winged Detail

Seraphic Hamsa Blessing is the most elaborate piece in the Evil Eye line: the hamsa hand rendered in high relief with fanned wing forms rising from either side, the whole composition chased by hand rather than struck from a die. Because the wings extend the motif horizontally, the layout is set so they stop short of the hinge and the composition stays entirely on the outer panel — uninterrupted when the device closes. Plated at 5 to 7 microns in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.

Enamel, Pavé and Wing Work

The central eye is fired enamel or a set sapphire, and the wing feathers are the natural place for pavé — each feather can carry a line of stones so the wings catch light as the phone is turned. This is the one edition where we would encourage setting the hinge spine as well: the composition is already substantial, and a plain spine tends to read as unfinished beside it. Stone certification is supplied where diamonds are set.

Chased, Not Struck

The simpler Hamsa Eye Amulet is struck from a die, which gives a consistent, moderate relief. Seraphic is chased by hand, so the wing feathers can be cut at varying depths and the hand can stand considerably higher off the panel. It takes an artisan several days and no two are identical.
