Its starting point is a brand-new, unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, whose rear glass we replace with a new back panel dressed almost entirely in black crocodile leather. The plated elements, in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at 5–7 microns, include the camera surround, while Samsung’s frame and hinge are not plated at all. Down the right-hand side runs a heavy curb chain, Cuban in style, in the metal you choose and anchored by a round cap at each end. The camera lenses sit in a polished pill-shaped surround, and a slim plated GoldPrivé strip finishes the lower left corner. Whatever the metal, the price stays the same.
