Around that window, the metalwork is ours to finish. The clip, the top cap, the tip cone and the slim trim bands are plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, all at one price. A twist of the barrel brings the point forward and a twist back retracts it, so there is no cap to lose between meetings.

Four parts carry the plating: the clip, the top cap, the conical tip and the narrow bands where the sections meet. Each is plated at 5–7 microns and polished to a mirror. The flake-filled window and the coloured lower barrel look just as photographed, and the ballpoint refill inside is a standard one.
Our photographs show 24K Gold trim, once against a black lower barrel and once against a champagne one. Unless you order your own engraving, the barrel carries the GoldPrivé mark as standard. Rose Gold gives the trim a warmer, pinker tone beside the flakes, and Platinum a cool white edge; whichever you choose, the price does not change.

The twist mechanism and refill are those of an ordinary ballpoint pen; only the trim is plated, and the barrel colour follows the photographs.
Wipe the clip and cap with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth after use. Abrasive polishes and chemical cleaners dull plating, so leave them in the cupboard, and let hand cream or perfume dry before you pick the pen up.
