Flip the lid and the click is unmistakable. The Gold Zippo Lighter is a genuine Zippo: the windproof, flip-top design with a chimney around the wick and a flint wheel to strike, dressed in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum. It sits among our corporate gifts and in our lighters collection.
We plate only the outer case and the lid, then polish them to a mirror. Everything that makes the flame stays exactly as Zippo built it, so the lighter is refuelled, re-flinted and re-wicked in the ordinary way. The flat sides of the case take engraving well.

The outer case and the flip lid are electroplated at 5–7 microns and polished to a mirror. Zippo’s inner insert, meaning the chimney, wick and flint wheel, keeps its original silver finish and lights exactly as Zippo made it; we never alter it.
Pictured is 24K Gold, with sample engraving on the lid and case; the case itself carries the 24K Gold · GoldPrivé mark, and your own engraving can sit on the lid, the front of the case or inside the lid, whichever you prefer. Rose Gold gives a warmer case and Platinum a pale, bright one. Each metal costs the same.

The insert in this lighter is Zippo’s own, and Zippo publishes its guidance on filling, flints and wicks on the Zippo website.
A soft, dry, lint-free cloth is all the case and lid need; abrasive or chemical cleaners should never touch them. Keep perfume, hand cream and spilled fuel off the plating, and let any spill evaporate before you strike the wheel.
