The Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: Complete Design & Price Guide
Most of the guides on this site are about the gold iPhone. Leronza also finishes the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and that collection now runs to 26 named designs across six lines, from a single plated colourway to an 18K solid gold amulet. This is the full lineup, with the real pricing logic behind it.
If you have read the iPhone 18 design guide, the structure will feel familiar. What differs on a foldable is where the gold can go: the fold has to keep working, so the work is deliberately kept off it.
What Leronza Actually Changes on a Fold8 Ultra
Every edition starts as a brand-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and is customised by hand in Dubai. On the plated designs, Samsung’s rear glass is replaced with a new back panel that carries the design and the plating, and the camera surround is finished in the same metal, 5 to 7 microns thick in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.
What never gets plated is the fold. The frame and the hinge are left exactly as Samsung built them, so the phone opens smoothly and closes flush for the life of the device. Both displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, the 200MP camera system and the battery are never opened or altered, which is why Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s software updates behave exactly as they would on a standard phone.
The one practical trade-off: a metal back stops wireless charging and the NFC signal that Samsung Wallet uses for tap-to-pay. Plated editions charge over USB‑C. On the Exotic Leather and Mother of Pearl designs it depends on the configuration, and on the Classic colourways both are expected to work as standard — in either case our sales team confirms your build before you order.
The Six Collections, and What Separates Them
Classic: the Colourways
The four Classic editions are the quiet end of the collection. The back wears a Leronza colourway — Silver Shadow, Jetblack, Mint or Blue Shadow — and the only precious metal is the ring around each camera lens, in the finish you choose. They are not Samsung’s own shade names: Samsung sells the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in Violet Shadow, Graphite, Cream and Green Shadow.
Prime and Rhodium: the Plated Backs
Prime is where the full transformation happens. Elite leaves the panel plain, Flora is engraved with floral scrollwork, Pyramid carries a hobnail texture of tiny raised pyramids, Artisan a quilted lattice, Imperial a jaguar emblem on a contrasting chevron, and Prestige Link runs a heavy curb chain down one side of a polished back.
Rhodium keeps the same construction but swaps the mood: a dark, finely textured panel in one of five colours, with plated chevron bars across it — one on Nucleus 1.0 with side rails, two on Nucleus 2.0, four on Nucleus 3.0 — or a curb chain on Nexus Link. The colour you pick does not change the price.
Leather, Pearl and Amulets: Where a Second Material Comes In
Eight designs add a material that plating alone cannot imitate. Exotic Royale and Royale put an engraved baroque band above a panel of crocodile leather or mother of pearl; WildGrace and Majesty Victory run a band of the material between textured metal; Knots & Leather and Knots & Pearl set a strip beside a woven metal lattice; WildGrace Link and Majesty Link cover the back in the material and lay a curb chain along one edge.
The Evil Eye editions work differently again. Each mounts an amulet cast in 18K solid gold, set with simulated diamonds, on an otherwise plain plated back: a hamsa hand on Hamsa Eye Amulet and Seraphic Hamsa Blessing, a Greek key medallion on Meandros Blessing Eye, and the largest of them, a round nazar of concentric stone rings, on LuxEvil Charm. They are the most expensive pieces in the collection.
What’s Actually in the Box
Every customised Fold8 Ultra ships in a black leather presentation box with a gift bag, alongside Samsung’s original documentation, a Leronza Certificate of Authenticity you can check on our verification page, a 20W USB‑C power adapter and a USB‑C cable.
Which Collection Fits Your Reason for Ordering
If you like the phone as Samsung designed it and simply want a precious detail, Classic is the honest answer: it is the cheapest way in, and it is the only line where wireless charging and Samsung Wallet are expected to keep working. If you want the phone to read as fully transformed, Prime and Rhodium change the whole back — Prime in polished or engraved metal, Rhodium in a darker, more technical register.
Exotic Leather and Mother of Pearl suit a different motivation again: a material with its own texture and variation, warm hide or shifting nacre, that no amount of plating can reproduce. And the Evil Eye editions are bought for meaning as much as for looks, which is why they are the pieces most often chosen as gifts.

Care, Warranty and Ordering
The handling advice in the care guide and the terms in the order & warranty guide apply to a plated Fold8 Ultra just as they do to a plated iPhone: soft cases only, no water resistance after customisation, and the same 50% deposit-to-order workflow. Samsung may treat a customised phone as modified, which can affect its manufacturer warranty; Leronza Care covers the parts we customise. Once customised, the Fold8 Ultra has no water resistance, so keep it dry.

Gold Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: Common Questions
What is actually plated on a gold Fold8 Ultra?
On the plated designs, a new back panel replaces Samsung’s rear glass and the camera surround is finished in the same metal, at 5 to 7 microns. On the Classic colourways, only the rings around the camera lenses are plated.
Is the frame or the hinge plated?
No. The frame and hinge are left exactly as Samsung built them so the fold keeps working as designed. The plating stays on the back panel and camera surround.
Does the finish choice change the price?
No. 24K Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum cost the same within a given design. Storage and the design itself set the price.
Can a customised Fold8 Ultra still charge wirelessly or pay by tapping?
Not on the plated designs: the metal back blocks both, so they charge over USB‑C. On Exotic Leather and Mother of Pearl it depends on the configuration, and on the Classic colourways both are expected to work as standard. Our sales team confirms your build before you order.
Which designs include a second material?
Eight: Exotic Royale, WildGrace, WildGrace Link and Knots & Leather use crocodile leather, and Royale, Majesty Victory, Majesty Link and Knots & Pearl use genuine mother of pearl. The four Evil Eye editions add an 18K solid gold amulet instead.
What comes in the box?
A black leather presentation box with a gift bag, Samsung’s original documentation, a Leronza Certificate of Authenticity, a 20W USB‑C power adapter and a USB‑C cable.
Does customising a Fold8 Ultra affect the warranty or water resistance?
It can. Samsung may regard a customised phone as modified, which may affect the manufacturer warranty, and once customised the phone is not water resistant. Leronza Care covers the customised parts.
Twenty-six designs, six collections and one rule that shapes them all: the gold goes on the back, never on the fold. That is what makes a customised Fold8 Ultra a different proposition from a plated slab phone, and it is worth understanding before you choose a design.
