“Luxury Phone”
Means Three Different Things.
The phrase covers a factory colourway, a precious-metal finish applied to a normal handset, and a housing cast in solid gold. Those are wildly different objects at wildly different prices, and most of the confusion in this market comes from all three being sold under the same two words.

Almost every phone marketed as “luxury” sits in tier one or tier two. If a listing does not tell you which, that is the first question to ask — and the answer should be in writing.

Six materials do most of the work in this market. Three are genuinely what they claim; three are frequently not.

Two things surprise people. First, the metal does not change the price — 24K gold, rose gold and platinum cost the same, because the metal is a small fraction of the total. Second, the spread within a single collection is roughly fivefold, and all of it is labour: plating, then engraving, then inlay, then hand-set stones. Full listings are on the gold phones hub.
The Part Most
Sellers Leave Out.
Plating a phone means opening it. Once that has happened the manufacturer’s water-resistance rating can no longer be guaranteed — treat any plated phone as not water-resistant, and expect liquid damage to void the warranty.
Two more things follow from the same fact: the finish wears at contact points like any plated surface, so a soft case is not optional; and the handset is covered by the finisher’s guarantee rather than Apple’s or Samsung’s.
None of that makes a luxury phone a bad purchase. It makes it a purchase you should go into with the right expectations.

Buying a Luxury Phone Safely.
This market has a counterfeit problem, and the brands people trust are the ones most often imitated. A few habits remove almost all of the risk.
Buy From the Brand, Not a Marketplace Listing
Precious-metal finishing is a workshop process, not a product line. If a seller cannot tell you where the work is done and by whom, they are reselling — and a reseller cannot honour a customisation warranty. Leronza work is finished in its own Dubai atelier and sold only through leronza.com and the Dubai showroom; the official website verification page exists precisely because the name is copied.
Insist on Written Specification
Material, finish, stone type, edition and price should all be in writing before payment. At Leronza a 50% deposit starts the commission and you approve visual mockups of your own device before anything is disassembled — the balance is only due before handover.
Understand That Custom Work Is Final
Anything made to order for one customer cannot be returned, here or anywhere else. That is exactly why mockups and written specifications matter: the approval stage is where changes cost nothing. Our refund policy sets out the position in full.
Check Delivery and Duties Before You Order

Treat them as objects you want to own rather than assets. A plated phone is still a phone with a finite software life, and resale depends on condition, edition and how identifiable the piece is — not on the gold content, which is a small part of the cost.
Is the gold on a luxury phone real?
It depends entirely on the seller. Leronza uses genuine 24K gold, rose gold or platinum, electroplated to a hard-wearing thickness over a barrier layer, with a Certificate of Authenticity and a serial number. A manufacturer’s gold colourway contains none.
Are the diamonds real?
Both simulated stones and genuine diamonds are sold in this market and both are legitimate — but which one you are buying should always be stated in writing. Leronza offers both and specifies which on every quote.
Does a luxury phone still work normally?
Yes. The internals are untouched and the device is function-tested before it is returned. The exception is water resistance, which can no longer be guaranteed once the housing has been opened.
Should I buy a finished phone or customise my own?
Buying finished means a second handset. Customising keeps the phone you already set up, with the same serial number — usually the better option if you are happy with your current device. Pricing for both is published.
Can I get the look without modifying my phone?
