Crocodile With a Gold Inlay Line
WildGrace Victory takes the crocodile inlay of the standard WildGrace and runs a solid gold inlay line through it — a raised rib set into the hide itself, following the length of each folding panel and meeting at the spine. Cutting a metal line into leather without the edges lifting is the difficult part: the channel is milled into the substrate first, the gold rib is seated, and the hide is fitted around it so the leather is under slight compression rather than tension.
Where the Line Meets the Fold
The two gold ribs are aligned so they meet exactly at the hinge when the device is opened flat, forming one continuous line across both panels. That alignment is checked at assembly and again after the hinge is re-torqued, because a rib that is a millimetre out is obvious the moment the phone is opened. Frame, spine and camera surround are plated to match at 5 to 7 microns.
