Flora covers the folding panel in a continuous botanical relief — vines, leaf forms and blossom heads that run from the hinge to the outer edge without a repeat. The pattern is chased into the metal by hand before plating, so when the 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum goes down at 5 to 7 microns it pools slightly in the recesses and thins across the raised work. That difference is what gives Flora its depth in daylight; a printed or lasered pattern cannot reproduce it.
A Pattern That Reads Open or Closed
Designing ornament for a foldable means solving it twice. Flora's composition is laid out so the vine work resolves as a complete arrangement when the device is shut, then continues logically across the spine when it opens — no severed stems at the fold line. The frame can be left plain to let the relief dominate, or set with small stones at the blossom centres.
