The Commission

The Hardest Thing to Gild
Is a Feather.

A metal frame takes gold readily. A goose feather — light enough to be carried by the air it displaces — does not. That is the part of this set that takes the time, and it is the reason a gold badminton set is far rarer than a gold racket.

Marking a win or a milestone?

The set is made on demand — engraving, finish and case details are agreed before the first component is gilded.

Discuss a Commission

01 — The Set

24K Gold Badminton Racket & Shuttlecock.

Two pieces, finished as one commission. The racket carries genuine 24K gold across its head, shaft and the entire string bed; the shuttlecock is gilded feather by feather. Neither is sold separately, because the set only reads correctly together.

Balanced First,
Gilded Second.

A badminton racket lives or dies by where its weight sits. Add finish carelessly and the head goes heavy, the swing goes slow, and what you have is an ornament pretending to be a racket. This one is engineered to hold its weight distribution through the finishing process — the head stays where it should, and the racket still handles like a racket in the hand.

02 — The Shuttlecock

Sixteen Feathers,
Gilded One at a Time.

The shuttlecock is not a cast metal replica. It is built the way a tournament shuttle is built — premium goose feathers, chosen for their flight consistency, set individually into a cork base — and then each of those real feathers is gilded, with a 24K gold ring finishing the collar and the cork tip capped in gold.

Look closely at the photographs and you can still see the grain of the feather under the gold. That is the whole point: a moulded shuttle would have been quicker, cheaper and completely uninteresting.

03 — The Case

Presented, Not Packed.

The set arrives in a bespoke case lined in velvet, with a routed channel holding the racket and a fitted recess cut for the shuttlecock so neither moves in transit. A gold medallion struck 24K Gold · Leronza London sits alongside them, and the gold LL monogram marks the piece as a GoldPrivé commission.

Opened, it is a display case; closed, it is a carry case. Most owners never take the set out of it — which is exactly how it was designed to be seen.

The 24K Gold Badminton Set by GoldPrivé — Where the Feathers Are the Difficult Part.

Anyone can gild a frame. Leronza gilds the shuttlecock too — real goose feathers, one at a time — which is what separates this set from every other gold badminton racket, and why it is made under the GoldPrivé name rather than bought in.

What Is the 24K Gold Badminton Set?

A matched pair: a badminton racket finished in genuine 24K gold across the head, shaft and full string bed, and a shuttlecock built from premium goose feathers set into a cork base, each feather gilded and finished with a 24K gold ring at the collar. Both are presented in a bespoke velvet-lined case with a gold Leronza London medallion.

Why the Shuttlecock Matters

A tournament shuttle is a precision object — sixteen feathers, chosen and matched for flight, seated in cork. Gilding one without crushing the vanes or clogging the structure is delicate work, and it is the reason this piece takes as long as it does. A moulded metal shuttle would have looked similar in a photograph and meant nothing in the hand.

Balance, Not Just Finish

The racket is engineered to keep its weight distribution through finishing, so the head does not go heavy and the swing does not turn sluggish. It handles as a racket should — though, as with every piece at this level, most owners keep the set cased and displayed rather than on court.

The Gift for a Player

Club champions, academy patrons, retiring coaches, tournament sponsors and serious collectors — a gold badminton set says something a trophy cannot, because it is the shape the recipient has held ten thousand times. Engraved with a name and a date, it becomes a record rather than a decoration.

Real 24K Gold, Certified

The finish is genuine 24K gold — 24ct gold in UK spelling — applied by hand in Dubai and certified on delivery, the same standard as the 24K gold tennis racket, the gold golf clubs and every piece in the 24K gold luxury gifts collection.

Commissioning a Set

Each set is produced on demand in Dubai with engraving and finish agreed in advance, then cased and shipped fully insured with a Certificate of Authenticity, serial verification and aftercare through Leronza Care. Club and tournament quantities are arranged through corporate gifts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Considering the Gold Badminton Set?

Are the shuttlecock feathers real?

Yes — premium goose feathers, set into a cork base exactly as a tournament shuttle is built, then gilded individually. Look closely at the photographs and the grain of each feather is still visible under the gold.

What exactly is in the set?

One badminton racket and one shuttlecock, both finished in 24K gold, presented together in a bespoke velvet-lined case with a gold Leronza London medallion. They are commissioned as a set rather than sold separately.

Is the racket playable?

It is engineered to retain its weight distribution through finishing, so it handles as a racket should rather than going head-heavy. In practice most owners keep the set cased and displayed — but the balance is real, not decorative.

Are the strings gold too, or only the frame?

The full string bed carries the gold along with the head and shaft, which is why the face reads as one continuous metal surface rather than a gold hoop with plain strings in it.

Does the case come with it?

Yes. The velvet-lined case is part of the commission, with a routed channel for the racket and a fitted recess for the shuttlecock so nothing moves in transit or on display.

Can it be engraved?

Yes — names, titles, dates, club crests and sponsor marks. Engraving is agreed before the set is finished so the text sits in the piece rather than on a plate attached to it.

Can I order several for a club or tournament?

Yes — matched sets with individual engraving are commissioned for clubs, academies and sponsor programmes, with delivery staged to your event date.

Can it be made in rose gold or platinum?

Yes, and crystal or stone detailing can be added. Finish and detailing are specified before production begins.

How do I clean it, especially the feathers?

Do not clean the shuttlecock at all — a gilded feather will not survive being wiped. Keep it in the case, and use a soft dry cloth on the racket only, with no polishes or solvents.

How long does a set take, and how is it delivered?

Each set is produced on demand, so the timeline depends on engraving and finish; a date is confirmed before you pay. Delivery is cased, fully insured, door to door from Dubai.
