Above all, this is a display piece rather than equipment. The head, shaft and every single string carry precious metal, which is precisely what a racket you intend to play with cannot do — a metal-finished string bed will not hold playing tension. Leronza builds it to be seen instead: full size, correct in shape and proportion, and finished so the face reads as one continuous metal surface on a stand, on a wall or in its case.

02 — The Shuttlecock
Sixteen Feathers,
Gilded One at a Time.
The shuttlecock is not a cast metal replica; instead, Leronza builds it the way makers build a tournament shuttle — premium goose feathers, chosen for their flight consistency, seated individually in a cork base — and then gilds each of those real feathers, with a 24K gold ring finishing the collar and gold capping the cork tip.
Look closely at the photographs and you can still see the grain of the feather under the gold. That is the whole point, because a moulded shuttle would have been quicker, cheaper and completely uninteresting.

03 — The Case
Your 24K Gold Badminton Set: Presented, Not Packed.
The set arrives in a bespoke case lined in velvet, with a routed channel holding the racket and a fitted recess cut for the shuttlecock so neither moves in transit. In addition, the butt of the grip carries a round gold medallion engraved GoldPrivé, and the same emblem is set into the lid of the case.
Open, it works as a display case; shut, it becomes a carry case. In fact, most owners never take the set out of it, which is exactly how we intended people to see it.
