Blue Band, Matching Metal Plated Outside, Untouched Inside

Our plating goes onto three components: the aluminium case, the Digital Crown and the side button. The navy band is Apple’s own and receives no plating; we finish just its buckle and its keeper loop in your chosen metal, matching the case. Apple’s display, S11 chip, sensors and battery are not altered, and the dark sensor back retains the finish Apple gave it, which lets the Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger attach in the usual way.

Apple moulds the Ocean Band from a high-performance fluoroelastomer, known as FKM, in a ribbed tubular form that gives a little stretch and a secure hold. You fasten it with the pin buckle, then move the adjustable loop to capture the free end, so there is no bracelet sizing to arrange. The band was conceived for water sports, yet the customised watch is not one to trust in the pool or the sea.

What do you plate on the navy version?

We plate the aluminium case, the Digital Crown and the side button to 5–7 microns, then finish the band’s buckle and loop in the same metal. The navy band stays exactly as Apple supplies it.

Is this a real Series 12 underneath?

Absolutely. Every watch starts life as a brand-new aluminium Apple Watch Series 12 before we customise it by hand in Dubai. Temperature sensing, the electrical and optical heart sensors and watchOS updates work as normal.

Does the standard Apple charger fit?

It does. We leave the sensor back in Apple’s finish, so the included Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger snaps on and charges as it should, reaching 80% in about 30 minutes.

Could I add an engraving?

Certainly. Send your text through our personalisation service; your specialist will check the fit and position with you first. Engraving is complimentary with every watch.

Which case size does the navy band come with?

The 46mm Series 12 case, the only size we offer with the Ocean Band. Fit is set at the buckle, with the loop keeping the end in place.

Is it covered by warranty, and is it safe in water?

Apple may view a customised watch as modified, which can affect the manufacturer warranty. The band is designed for water sports, but the watch is not water resistant after customisation: no swimming, diving or showering. Leronza Care looks after the customised parts.

How does it differ from the black band and the other blue options?

Black Ocean Band is the identical Apple band in black. For blue in a softer material, Deep Blue Modern Buckle is Apple’s FineWoven with a magnetic buckle, while Hermès Bleu Nuit En Mer is a knit band in night blue.
