The Gold Shure SM55 Super Deluxe is finished by hand at the Leronza atelier in Dubai, plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum to a thickness of 5 to 7 microns. No microphone rewards this treatment more: the SM55’s satin chrome grille and stepped Art Deco frame were designed to catch light, and in gold they do it emphatically.
The Capsule Is Never Touched
We customise the exterior only. The shock-mounted cartridge and internal wiring are left exactly as Shure built them, so the microphone retains the rich lows, crisp highs and smooth midrange that made the original a studio and broadcast standard. It is a genuine working microphone, not a replica or a display piece.
